Mother Teresa was named a saint on Sept. 4 of 2016. She touched the lives of many poor people in the city of Calcutta over her remarkable life. She helped the poor, the sick and the elderly. Many people have really great memories of Mother Teresa and many of those people are very happy to know that she has been declared a saint. People can learn from the actions of Mother Teresa to make themselves better people.
- On Sunday, September 4, 2016, Mother Teresa, who devoted her life to helping countless numbers of abandoned, sick, poor and dying people in Calcutta, was declared a saint by Pope Francis in the Vatican.
- Entering the headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity, the building in which she also lived in a modest room, I seemed to be entering a place created from the merging of a Hindu Temple and a Catholic Church.
