While breakups are traumatic for all parties involved, there is new research that points to women focusing more on the insecurities and distrust associated with their past relationships, while men focus on the actual time they spent inside the relationship itself. These studies that are developing are giving experts insight into how the female and male brains process separations in much different manners.
- Over 96% of individuals in the study reported that they felt some sort of emotional trauma from a breakup.
- 93% of participants claimed that they experienced physical trauma as well post-separation.
- Women have been shown to reflect more on issues such as distrust and insecurities after going through a breakup.
